FIREARMS TRAINING COURSES AVAILABLE
BASIC CONCEALED CARRY HANDGUN CLASS
This practical self-defense handgun course introduces the participant to the Fundamentals of Firearms Safety along with the necessary skills to properly handle a revolver or semi-automatic pistol. Attendees will learn the basic capabilities of a handgun -- what it does, what it doesn't do and why it works the way it does. The hands-on training starts with proper stance and grip, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger control and effective breathing techniques.
The 60-minute classroom portion includes discussions about legal aspects of gun ownership, including how to properly transport a handgun, homeowners' rights to self-defense, and tactics of self-defense. This course meets the State of Florida's Conceal Carry Permit requirements.
Training will start with Basic shooting exercises and move into Combat shooting (VBS) with multi-target drills with life-sized paper silhouette targets. Students fire 100 rounds and receives training with an emphasis on self-defense.
Ammunition is not included. Students must provide 100 rounds of their own ammo (any kind/size). Ammo can also be purchased at the range. Please refer to the chart below for cost and availability. Participants must also provide their own required range safety gear: hat w/bill; ear protection (foam inserts or headsets); and eye protection (prescription eyeglasses are acceptable).

BASIC HANDGUN CLASS II -- VISION-BASED SHOOTING (VBS)
After completing the Basic Conceal Carry Handgun class, students can progress to the Basic Handgun Class II. This course is strongly recommended before taking the Intermediate Handgun Class, where speed an accuracy is critically important. We work on Speed draw from Holster using the Vision Based Shooting Skills you obtained during the CCW class or the SDTTS class.
The VBS course is a superb method for handgun owners who want to improve their accuracy and confidence and speed in order to shoot well under pressure situation. Emphasis is placed on improving a shooter's ability to fire off rapid shots at both single and multiple targets at varying distances. Many of these practical exercises can be employed at any range, so gun owners can add variety and fun to their personal practice sessions.

INTERMEDIATE HANDGUN CLASS / VISION-BASED SHOOTING (VBS)
After completing the Basic Handgun class, students can progress to the Intermediate Handgun Class.
This class affords students the opportunity to respond to the most common self-defense situations that could potentially arise in a domestic setting. Students learn to develop and practice necessary skills to quickly reacts to various circumstances, such as:

What if you awake to find yourself looking down the barrel of a loaded gun? What should you do?

How close should you be to the target before shooting?

What should you do if you are being pursued as you run to get your gun from its stored location?

What if your gun jams? Do you know how to reload quickly?
Who should take this class? This course is ideal for all gun owners who believe that a gun in their home or on their person is a valuable tool to have when a life-threatening situation arises, or when there is no reasonable expectation of law enforcement arriving for an extended period of time (in desolate areas, remotely-located homes, driving on country roads, etc.)
What will you learn? In addition to learning the answers to the above questions, instructors will cover various shooting techniques including rapid reloading, one-arm shooting (left arm/right arm), malfunction drills, half-turns and full-turns, and close-quarter battle (CQB).
Students will expend 150 rounds (not provided/must be supplied by student) at life-size silhouettes. Ammo can also be purchased at the range. ADVANCED HANDGUN CLASS / VISION-BASED SHOOTING (VBS)
After completing the Intermediate Handgun class, students can progress to the advanced level of instruction. Students will review tactics, techniques and procedures learned in previous classes, while adding new firing positions such as kneeling, sitting and prone. Shooters will learn how to think as they fire from cover, think as they fire while moving, "shoot-move-shoot," and firing at multiple targets.
Ammunition is not included. Students must provide 200 rounds of their own ammo (any kind/size). Ammo can also be purchased at the range. Please refer to the chart below for cost and availability. Participants must provide their own required range safety gear: hat w/bill; ear protection (foam inserts or headsets); and eye protection (prescription eyeglasses are acceptable).
